Award recognizes her leadership in caregiver education, community outreach, and hospice awareness
BLUFFTON, S.C. – May 27, 2026 – MiraSol Health, a leading community-based provider of compassionate chronic illness, end-of-life, and grief care services in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper, counties, is proud to announce that Haven Banks, director of marketing and outreach, has been named a 2026 Hospice and Palliative Care Future Leader by WTWH Media.
The national award recognizes professionals under the age of 40 who are helping shape the future of palliative and hospice care delivery through leadership, innovation and service.
Banks’ recognition reflects both her rapid professional growth within MiraSol Health and her meaningful impact across the communities the organization serves. In under two years, she advanced from public relations coordinator to director of marketing and outreach, where she now leads marketing strategy, volunteer engagement, and community outreach efforts for an organization that supports more than 280 patients daily across multiple service areas.

Through her work, she has helped expand public understanding of palliative and hospice care while addressing longstanding stigma around end-of-life services. She led MiraSol Health’s first Empowering Caregiver series, a four-part speaker and event series designed to uplift, educate, and support family caregivers, which reached more than 400 community members in 2025.
Haven represents the kind of compassionate, forward-thinking leadership that is helping shape the future of palliative and hospice care. She brings empathy, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to the people we serve, and her work has strengthened how MiraSol Health connects with patients, families, caregivers and the broader community. We are proud to see her recognized on a national level with this well-deserved honor.”
James Dismond, CEO of MiraSol Health.
Banks draws on a background in memory care and dementia support to bring a thoughtful, informed perspective to MiraSol Health's outreach and communications work. She also leads liaison and partnership-building efforts focused on expanding awareness and access to care, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
Honorees will be recognized across WTWH Healthcare publications and upcoming industry events. To view the full list, click here.
