Four-part event series designed to uplift, educate, and connect caregivers across the Lowcountry
BLUFFTON, S.C. Aug. 24, 2025 – MiraSol Health, a leading nonprofit provider of compassionate palliative, end-of-life, and grief care services in Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton, and Hampton counties, is excited to announce a free, four-part caregiver support series launching this fall.
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 24, the Empowering Caregiver Series will feature keynote speakers, complimentary lunches, and a welcoming space to provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support for caregivers. To ensure participation is accessible, MiraSol Health volunteers will also be available to sit with loved ones during the events.
According to the South Carolina Department on Aging, nearly 770,000 family caregivers in South Carolina provide 737 million hours of unpaid care each year to chronically ill, disabled, or elderly loved ones. Despite their critical role in the healthcare system, many caregivers report feeling overwhelmed and isolated. MiraSol Health’s mission is to honor life by caring for both those facing serious illness and the loved ones who support them.
“Most people will either be a caregiver or need one at some point in their lives,” said James Dismond, CEO of MiraSol Health. “Through this series, we want to honor caregivers’ dedication and offer them tools, resources, and encouragement to help lighten their load.”
