The New Public Artwork Will Honor Bluffton’s Heritage, Community Spirit, and Artistic Legacy
Commissioned by developer Matthew Cunningham as part of Farris’s artist residency at The Bridge Collective, an art and retail space in Old Town Bluffton, the mural captures the essence, energy, and exuberance of Bluffton through bold colors, dynamic textures, and symbolic imagery.
I wanted to create a piece that honors the deep sense of joy, connection, and wonder found in Bluffton. This mural is a love letter to the community—its natural beauty, its heritage, and the spirit that makes this place truly special.

Integrating art into the architectural design is one of the key aspects of this development. I believe artists are the truth-tellers in our society and by nature bring community together. My hope is that this piece will highlight the attributes that make this town and our community truly special.
